September - October, 2005 - The 2005 harvest!
September, 2005 - Savoy-Lee Winery's first release.  We released our 2004 Chardonnay, 2004 Echo Forest Red, and
2004 Cabernet Franc.

September, 2004 was the first Savoy-Lee crush!

Savoy-Lee Winery received its winery license from the Federal TTB and from Virginia's ABC Board during September,
2004.

The winery building, to include the rough-in construction of the tasting room, was completed during the summer of
2004.

The 2003 and 2004 growing seasons were very difficult due to the unusually large amount of rainfall.

In December, 2003 a bronze medal was awarded for our "homebrew" 2002 Woodstock Merlot.

During April, 2003 we planted Cabernet Franc, Pinot Blanc, Sauvignon Blanc, Traminette and Chambourcin.

In April, 2002 we planted Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Sangiovese.

The initial vineyard plantings of Cabernet Sauvignon and Chardonnay were planted during April, 2001.  At the time of
this planting, small amounts of Merlot, Traminette and Chardonel were planted on an experimental basis.
Running a vineyard and winery is a series of projects.  When all the balls are in the air at the same time, you hope
they don't all start to fall at the same time!
